The 2017 CAF African Player of the Year technically sits ahead of Kane in the standings by virtue of his eight assists to Kane's one, and having scored his 23 goals in 2123 minutes compared to Kane's tally in 2228 minutes of football.
The Liverpool and Spurs forwards' closest rivals for the Golden Boot this season looks set to be Sergio Aguero, who has hit 21 goals in 1788 minutes for Manchester City - a fine tally given his relative lack of game time in comparison.
Salah, though, will fancy his chances of taking the Golden Boot given Liverpool's favourable run-in, with the Reds having already played the majority of their top-six rivals.
